Messy Hair, Don't Care - So Long As It's Clean!

Raise your hand if your hair is currently in a strange looking top knot!

During this #shelterathome period, feel free to skip the blow drying, flat ironing, hair pomades, mousses and sprays. Heck, toss your hair into a loose ponytail or even hide it under a baseball cap!

But don’t forget to wash your hair regularly! You may be in sweatpants-mode and working from home, but your scalp doesn’t know that. Accumulation of scalp oils can flare dandruff in some people. The grease can also clog pores and trigger acne along the hairline, as well as on the cheeks (especially when you rub your greasy hair into your pillowcase at night!). Finally, your scalp cannot tolerate a week’s worth of dry shampoo layering! The mattifying starches and clays will cause scalp irritation, clog follicles, wear away at the hair shaft causing fragility and breakage over time, plus, they do not remove oil or physically clean your hair! This can lead to odor, dirt and dead skin build-up, as well as bacterial and yeast growth. Ew.

Up your bedtime ritual and jump in the shower!
